Biotech Startup
Since 2024, I’ve been working as a Lead Engineer I at a biotech startup, where I lead data science efforts within Process Development. I focus on improving process and product understanding of protein microparticles through machine learning, statistical modeling, and data infrastructure. I design and maintain ETL pipelines to streamline access to experimental and analytical data, and I build models that support real-time decision-making. I also work on PAT integration, identifying opportunities for at-line and in-line monitoring and collaborating across teams to embed data-driven tools into development workflows.
Alongside my technical work, I also manage cross-functional programs that bring together process development, analytical, and manufacturing teams. I help align priorities, coordinate timelines, and keep complex projects moving forward. This blend of hands-on technical work and program management lets me bridge strategy and execution across fast-paced development efforts.
Intellia Therapeutics
From 2023 to 2024, I worked as an associate scientist in mRNA process sciences at Intellia Therapeutics. My responsibilities spanned upstream, downstream, and analytical development, where I often used DOE and statistical methodologies to design and analyze my studies. I was appointed as the technical SME of the PAT sub-function and used the literature to design and implement new at-line and on-line monitoring technologies. On the side, I also supported LNP process and analytical development.
From 2021 to 2023, I worked as a process development engineer II at Intellia Therapeutics. As an engineer, I supported mRNA process tech transfers to CMOs and regulatory filings by performing pilot scale process runs, leading risk mitigation studies, and developing process scale-down models.
Amgen
From 2019 to 2021, I worked in Pivotal Attribute Sciences at Amgen. I developed and qualified methods to characterize proteins and viral vectors. As a side project, I also developed a high throughput, Pro-A purification process to clarify crude upstream samples for bench-scale analytics.
